I don't really need to have mac processes running in the background, I just need windows to play games. Is there any way I can shut down all unneeded resources and move all my processing power of my mac to the VM?
Depending on your license, you're limited to the resources that you've allocated in the VM's settings. I'd still leave at least 1-2 cores and 4 Gb of Ram to the Host or you're going to risk a full crash.
