Can I upgrade from Paralles Desktop 9 for Mac from version 7 using the full version?

Or must I use the Upgrade version.

I work for an educational institution and can get the full version for $39, but the Upgrade is $49. Can I use the full version to upgrade from version 7 on my macbook pro?

If you purchase the Educational version of Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac by paying $39 you will receive a Full version Activation key for Parallels Desktop.
Educational version doesn't require the previous version licence key to Activate Parallels Desktop.

Your Virtual Machine will remain the same like how it was before even after installing Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac.
