I've installed Ubuntu 24.04 to my Parallels Desktop App Store Edition, unfortunately I can't resize the hard disk size. I follow the instructions at https://kb.parallels.com/129758 : I go to VM configuration, Hard Disk 1, Advanced..., Properties.... The current size is incorrectly shown as 2 GB. I can drag the resize slider, but the Apply and Revert buttons are disabled. Feels like a bug in Parallels, but I can't find Parallels bug tracker.
Thanks for your reply! I ensured that the virtual machine was completely shut down before attempting to resize the hard disk. I understand that the disk can not be resized when the VM is up.
I was told by the Parallels support to uninstall the AppStore edition and download and install the DMG from parallels.com - then I'll be able to resize the disks. This is simply unacceptable: I want to run Parallels in the sandbox as an AppStore app. This is getting ridiculous: UTM costs 10 eur, can be downloaded from AppStore and can resize the disks. Why can't Parallels AppStore?
