Cannot activate Parallels DEsktop 9

I have upgraded my Mac OSX from OS X 7 (Lion) to OS X 8 (Mountain Lion).
My Parallels Desktop 6, which worked on OS X 7 did not work on OS X 8, so I checked your web site, it confirmed that PD9 works on OS X 8 and purchased Parallels Desktop 9. All products are registered at your web site, so you can check it.
When I installed the PD9, it removed the previous version 6. When I then wanted to activate Parallels Desktop 9, I entered the PD9 activation key, it asked me for the previous version (PD6) activation key, which I did and then it told me that this version cannot be used.
Please help. I have paid for the upgrade and now I have no Parallels working on my computer.

Please reach out to our Support Team as the upgrade from Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac to Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac is not possible. Version 6 has reached End-of-Life with the release of 9. If you purchased from our Online Store, our Order Support Team will be able to help you with the conversion of the upgrade license to the full version license.
