I've been beating my head on this problem for days trying to get a Windows 10 VMWare Fusion VMDK to convert to Parallels format with no success. Each time I try to convert a VMDK it processes for hours and eventually fails with this message:
"This VMWare Fusion virtual machine cannot be converted to the Parallels format
Some files required for conversion are either missing or damaged."
There was a similar thread about this with a different error message https://forum.parallels.com/threads...verted-to-the-parallels-format-solved.343067/ and I've tried all these suggestions from that thread:
1) Ensuring VMWare Fusion image has been shutdown
2) Running chkdsk inside the VMWare Fusion image
3) Cloning the image to a new image and then converting
