Cannot delete files on the shared folder

I have the official release 3188. I am able to create, rename, read and write files on both the Mac and the Windows XP VM. However I am unable to delete any files residing in the shared folder from within the guest OS. I can delete them only within the host OS.

Has anyone seen this? Any ideas on how to fix or diagnose this?

I think you haven't needed permitions to delete this files. What mode of Shared Folders have you got?
 
I set R/W mode when i configured the shared folder. It is my user directory on the host OS. I do not have either of the drag-and-drop settings enabled.
