Cannot get past "Parallels is preparing for the update"

Hi there all.
I have not been able to run Parallels since Big Sur. I haven't needed windows for ages and now I can 't get Parallels to run. My problem is 15477. I have tried to update, install free trial and nothing works, it just freezes at preparing for the update. How I can't uninstall Parallels to try and re-install. Does anyone know a solution to this and a work around. I am not very computer savvy when it comes to things like this. I am running MacBook Pro 2017 Quad Core i7.
Much appreciated to anyone who has had this issue and has got round it. Thank you,

Hi, please uninstall and reinstall the Parallels Desktop application to check on the issue:
1. To uninstall Parallels Desktop from your Mac: https://kb.parallels.com/124255
2. Then download and install Parallels Desktop using the download link http://www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd
