Cannot install Tools

Would appreciate any help with this problem. Created new VM to use with work network at work. Settings per IT are correct. Can log into network etc. However, cannot install parallels tools or go into coherence mode or get correct screen resolution in windowed mode. Any help appreciated...thx.

boot the VM into safe mode, then install Tools from the Actions menu

Thanks for the tip. Tried it but once again the menu says "Cancel Parallels Tools Installation" but the tools installation dialog box never appears.

Would it be the end of the world to do a clean install? It would make it easiest...

Hello abfishkind,

It seems that CD autorun is disabled in guest OS.
Please do the following:
1. Actions -> Install Parallels Tools
2. Go to My Computer -> CD-ROM and run PrlTools.exe
