Cannot lauch app with 2X Ipad Client

    I just installed 2X Client for Ipad v 9.0 (build 1034) from the App Store, to show a potential 2X customer tommorow (8/2/2011) how he can use his businessapps on a Ipad.

    I configured the 2X connection and I see the published apps.
    However whenever I lauch one of the published apps, I see the logonscript running, but independ of the logonscript I get the following errormessage during logon:

    "Failed to get applicationinformation, 2X Application Server might not be running or you dont have permissions to run the application."

    After the error message, the 2X Client jumps back to the list of published apps.


    I use: Windows 2003 Terminal Server with 2X applicationserver v9.0 build 1051, Gateway port: 5000, the Ipad is connected to the internet with Wifi.

    The account I use works without problem from a Window 7 PC with 2X Client v9.0 build 1028 beta.
    I have even made the account I use for 2X a local admin on the 2X Server and a member of the Domains Admins, without any success on the Ipad.

    Can some please help me out?

    I lied :wink: , I did't go to sleep. I just had to test something that came to mind.
    Somewhere I read that the Ipad 2X Client will work with any 2X Application Server starting from version 8.x...
    So I just unstalled version v9.0 build 1051 and installed v8.1.941 and.... *TADA* the published application are working now!

    So there seems to be an issue with 2X Application Server v9.0 build 1051 and the Ipad Client v9.0 (build 1034).

    "Goodnight" everone, I gonna sleep with a smile on my face now :)

    Hi,
    I suggest you open a ticket with support.
    I am sure they will help you.

    Please make sure to attach a support request file to your email so that your setup can be reproduced.

    Go to Help -> send support request -> select save the zip file ( in your AS/VDS console).

    I am having the same issue, after upgrading everything to version 9 yesterday. It also effecting our Mac OS X clients as well. This refresh smells of bad apple clients. I have a support ticket in, I will post back if my fix is different.

    I am not the OP, but I am having the same problem.

    New install of 2X Application Server 9.0.151 on top of Server 2003. Windows and Android clients work fine, but Mac and iPad clients get the "Failed to get application information" error.

    The Mac client v9.0.1051 does not work with Application Server 9.0.151.
    The Mac client v8.1.941 does work with Application Server 9.0.151.
    The Mac client v9.0.1051 does work with Application Server 8.1.941.

    Is there a previous version of the iPad client?

    Thanks for the detailed results. This issue is being investigated.
    Did you perform fresh install on Win2003 or it was upgrade of running v8.x version?
    Previous version of iPad client is not available, but Mac client can be referenced.

    I started with a fresh install of Application Server 9.0.151 on top of a fresh install of Server 2003. I uninstalled 9.0.151 and installed 8.1.941 for testing, then uninstalled that and installed 9.0.151 again to test with the Mac client v8.1.941.

    This issue is expected to be fixed after 2X Application Server v9.0.1056 update.
