I bought Parallels 4.0 a few months ago, and have been trying to run Vista on my Mac OS X with it. My Mac is about 9 months old and runs perfect, and I just bought Vista at the same time as Parallels, so everything is new.
However, when I try to run Windows alongside the Mac OS in compatibility mode or the like using parallels, everything slows down to about 1/100 of the previous pace. I cannot open a new tab in any application without me having to wait several minutes for it to unfreeze. If I click the start menu in Windows it'll suddenly show up 30 seconds later. I cannot run any program successfully under any operating system while running parallels, and I am very disappointed.
I've basically given up on this product and chalked my $300+ spent as a waste.
Is there anything I can do to improve performance to be "Lightning Fast" and "Easy to Use", as it says on the product's box?
Any help is appreciated.
