Cannot save MS Office docs/sheets/anything

Bit poster
While running build 3810 with XP, I can open shared MS Office files stored on my Mac HD in the VM, but cannot save them. I get the error message:

There has been a network or file permission error. The network connection may be lost (\\.psf\Home\...\myworddocumenttitle.doc)

Please help!
