Can't boot Windows VM after Onyx

Have used Parallels for years with no problem. Ran Onyx software to clean up Mac HD, now can't boot windows in Parallels, says no OS installed. If you think this was caused by Onyx, how can I undo it?

Please check for the .pvm file in your Mac HD. By default Virtual Machine file (.pvm file) is saved to either Documents/Parallels folder inside your user folder, or to /Users/Shared/Parallels.

If the .pvm file of your Windows is not in any of the location mentioned above, please check whether the .pvm file is misplaced in Trash. If the .pvm file is in trash, copy it and paste it to any one of these location: Documents/Parallels folder inside your user folder, or to /Users/Shared/Parallels and once the file is copied double-click on it to start your Windows.

I found the .pvm file in both of the locations you mentioned but when I double click I run into the same problem, it attempts to launch windows but says it can't find the OS

You might get an error message : Virtual Hard Disk is used by another application.

In this case virtual hard disk is most probably used by Parallels Mounter application. Please check if the disk C of virtual machine is mounted to your Finder:

In case if it is mounted, right click the disk C and choose "Eject". After that you can start your virtual machine.

If the issue still persists or if the Virtual Hard disk is not mounted :

Please let us know the size of the .PVM file and also let us know if you are able to mount the Virtual Hard Disk by :

Right clicking on the .PVM file -> Open with -> Parallels Mounter
