Can't Install CentOS 6 Guest Reboots after EED Probe

I'm trying to install CentOS 6 on Parallels 6 (Build 6.0.12106)

But upon booting to install, the VM reboots as its loading

Probing EDD (edd=off to disable) .............. on



How to avoid this?

 

1. Make sure the correct Linux distro is chosen in OS type (More Linux> CentOS).

2. Try a different kernel as this thread over at CentOS suggests: https://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=35152
