can't move files from VM desktop

i am having an issue where i am trying to move FILES from my Windows 7 VM desktop to my Mac Desktop and when i try to move them beyond the bounds of the Windows 7 window they won't move beyond this window. i have also tried a copy and paste but i can copy the files and mac side does not let me paste.

i am also noticing that the ICONS on the Windows 7 VM desktop are much larger and very rasterized.

can anyone help me get these files over?

install (or re-install if you already have installed) the parallels tools. you can find it in the "Virtual Machine" menu item on your mac's menu bar.
