Can't open my VM - PLEASE HELP

OS X stopped responding during a standy on my Macbook. The system would not come back so I was forced to do a hard reboot. Now when I try to access my Win XP VM it says:

Virtual Machine Microsoft Windows XP cannot be opened since it is already used in another Parallels Desktop window.

Please help...this is quite annoying.
