cant ping vm when connected to vpn

Hi,
Running shared networking I can ping my Windows VM from the Guest OS (10.211.55.4) no problem.
However as soon as I connect my guest to the Cisco VPN, I can no longer ping the VM. Any ideas on how I would be able to do this?

If I correctly understand the problem, some VPN configurations blocks access to network other then VPN while VPN is connected. May be it is your case
