Cant read msg files anymore

I have recently found that when I load Outlook 2007 (win7) the outlook logo with two vertical red lines no longer displays in the MAC menu. All other programs that I load whilst
"in" Windows work correctly. Without this I'm unable to tread any .msg files. Any ideas?
