Can't unlock any type of preferences such as user preferences or security and privacy settings

Host: Catalina 10.15.3
Guest: Catalina 10.15.3
Parallels: 15.1.2 (47123)
Details:

• I can't unlock any type of preferences such as user preferences or security and privacy settings.
• I use the same password to login to the VM and to perform other actions requiring the logged in users password with no problem.

Please assist.
