I am running Parallels 8 on a new MBA. I can install Ubuntu 12.10 from the ISO file, but there are 300MB worth of updates to be had after the install. When I try to install them, the reboot puts me in a screen with just the Parallels folder, and the Unity interface gone. I tried installing 12.04 and upgrading to 12.10 with the same result. Any suggestions?
