I'm using parallels 7 with Mountain Lion 10.8.2 to run Windows 7. All worked well until recently. Now the CD drive has problems:
Not Good:
If Parallels is running and Parallels Devices>CD/DVD 1 menu shows a checkmark by the drive, Windows can't use the drive. Here's what happens: clicking the ^ keyboard button causes the drive to insert or eject a disc as it should, but after inserting a disc if I double-click that drive in Windows Explorer, Windows brings up a message "Insert a disc Please insert a disc into drive D:" and it then immediately ejects the disc.
Good:
If Parallels is not running, the drive works fine for the Mac. It also works fine if Parallels is running and I disconnect the drive in the Parallels Devices>CD/DVD 1 menu.
I'm not sure what provoked the problem -- maybe a recent update of Parallels. Any ideas?
