CD settings

I want to install programs on Parallels Desktop 4 from the installation CD's. In the User Manual on Pg 170, the CD "Enabled" option and screen as shown, is completely greyed out. How do I ungrey this area, so I can tick Enabled and get CD's appearing on the Vista desktop?
 
Hello,

Please launch Parallels - > configure - > devices - > click on cd/dvd - > click on "-" and remove the drive.
Restart the mac - > launch parallels -> configure - > devices - > click on cd/dvd ->click on "+" and add cd/dvd drive.
After adding select "real device option" and please check enabled and connected options.
Now try using the drive.
