My CentOS 7 VM boots into emergency mode. I noticed fsck errors in the journalctl -xb logs and ran fsck and the volume is clean but I still boot into emergency mode. While /dev/mapper/VolGroup_lv_root was clean, /dev/mapper/VolGroup_lv_home does not show up as mounted, although accessible on boot. The VM does come up fine if boot into default mode with conrol+D. Is my vdisk corrupt?

Suggest to check your physical hard drive for errors.

Hard drive is fine. The image was corrupt. Had to make a new one :(
