Change ip for production

Hi. I have 2 Windows Server 2008 in mode Direct. I install the Web Portal, I configure the portal for my requeriments. The server have a private IP, all ok. But when I change to public IP and I try enter to my Web Portal I get a error and can not enter. I desinstalled 2x Web portal. I Install again and all ok, but my personal configuration is lost. My question is, when I install a 2x Web Portal the files in 2xwebportal and 2xwebservice take any configuration of the server so when I change IP to server, the web portal dont work?
 
There are two web.config files one for the portal and one for the web service.
They both require updating.
