Hi all, I'm about to replace my old 128gb SSD in my Macbook to a larger 512tb SSD. Therefore, a clean reboot and format is required. However, do i need to purchase a new licence or I can keep the old ones on the new SSD? What are the steps required to ensure the licence is intact even after swapping SSDs.

    Thanks

Hi, this knowledge base article should help you. Please remember to uninstall the software from the ssd it is currently installed on before installing on a new one.

Ok thanks. Currently I'm planning to clone my current SSD to external. And then once i installed the new SSD, I'll clone the external back to my new drive. Will cloning retain the license too?
