Changing resolution of external monitor (windows)

I have an external monitor connected to my iMac. It is a 1600x1200 dell. When I run parallels in coherence mode, the vertical resolution on the monitor for windows apps is limited to the vertical resolution on my iMac (1050). I had posted this in another thread, and someone told me to increase the video RAM in parallels. I did that and it still didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no fix for this in the current release. The largest possible vertical dimension is set by the vertical dimension of monitor #1.
 
Do you know if this will be fixed in future releases and if so, when?

EDIT: Has this been fixed in the new release of 3.0?
