Check for Updates Not Finding Update

I'm running Desktop 7 for Mac version 7.0.15054. Version 7.0.15055 is out but when I do "check for updates" it tells me that I have the latest version. What gives? Is it because I have the "Switch to Mac" version installed? It tells me that the latest of Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac version is installed.

I want to run the Win 8 Consumer Preview. I know that I can download the ISO but I'm guessing there are fixes in the latest build of Desktop that I will need.

Just noticed that I can download from the website but still wondering why the in-app update didn't find a new version.
