Client Drives Disappearing

    Hi

    I have clients whose local drives are available one day and not the next. I had customer call today who has been using drive sharing for the past month but today they are not visible. We tried turning of the anti-virus and rebooting the PC but still the drives are AWOL. The setting have not been changed on the server or the client and if I check in User Profile it still says to connect to client drives.

    I have had several customer complain about this since I changed to 2X several months ago. I never had this problem with straight Remote Desktop Connections with Terminal Services. I am getting some very irate customers as a result.

    Anybody know of a cause/solution?

    there are various options on how to turn the redirection off, both from the server and from the client.

    i assume you are using windows client?

    check client settings
    check terminal server options
    check GPOs

    The problem is that no changes have been made. I have found that sometimes if I delete the user profile from the server and re-create it everything works again.
