Client installation problem

Installing Application Server client on client copmuter. The AD ang GPO are locked down very hard.

Installing as administrator, after reboot it remembers the setting to the farm. (for the administrator).

When logging in as a "regular user" the settings to the farm is gone. Is there a way to save the settings to all users on the client?

2003 R2 server, XP SP2 client.

Hi there.

In your scenario i would suggest to do the following...
1) Download a fresh 2x client MSI
2) Edit the msi file to setup the client settings. (Take a look at the documentation)
3) Switch on DISABLEOPTIONS ( & DISABLEOPTIONSADMIN if needed).
4) Switch on OVERRIDEUSERSETTINGS
5) Push the msi over to the clients using GPO.

This will result in clients being setup as the admin would like and users will not have any rights to modify the settings.
