On Windows on my mac (via parallels), if I press command + space bar, it no longer changes the language from English to Japanese. Instead it opens the windows start menu. This did not use to happen. I can set the command key to become the control key (instead of the Windows key) by using the parallels preferences menu. But then I can never use the command key as the Windows key anymore. Normally I like to be able to have the functionality of Win + D or Win + E or Win + L. If I change Command from Win to Ctrl, I cant do that anymore. Even if I find another key pattern to replace the windows key (for example Cntrl + Command + Z to be Win) I still can't do Win + D (to switch to the desktop) even though Win + E and Win + L still work. Basically I just want Apple/Parallels to fix the problem so that I can press Command + Spacebar again and have the darn thing switch languages and not open the start menu. Can you fix this!??? In lieu of them fixing it, can someone tell me how to solve my problem in the meantime so I can switch languages with a hotkey and still have something to use as the Windows key? This problem is very annoying and frustrating, since command + space use to always work.
