I've been using PD5 for a while, and thought I would try out PD6 to see if it offered anything worth upgrading for. Right away, I notice that some of the keyboard shortcuts that were working correctly in a Win7 guest under PD5 are now broken in PD6. For example, pressing Ctrl+F4 is a common Windows shortcut to closing the active document/tab, and that worked correctly under PD5. Now though, pressing the same keyboard shortcut transfers control to Mac OS X. I have to uncheck "Enable Mac OS X System Shortcuts" from the Parallels preferences dialog before this starts working again. Ctrl+F2 similarly transfers control back to Mac OS, but Ctrl+ any of the other function keys is sent to the Windows guest. Any way to fix this?

I'm having a similar problem. I tried to copy an URL from a Mac text file, than using the right-key to paste into my Wind XP FF, Explorer, Chrome two things would happen.
1. The web browsers would become unresponsive
OR
2. PD6 would disappear, a total quit.
The only thing I've done is submit two feedback messages to Parallels.
Can anyone help me?

Behavior or keyboard and shortcuts was slightly changed in PD6 compare to PD5.
This was done to make behavior with "Enable Mac OS X System Shortcuts" option checked more
adequate to it real meaning.
So, if "Enable Mac OS X System Shortcuts" checked - it is logical that Mac OS X System
Shortcuts was functioning when your work in virtual machine.
Ctrl+F2 - standard Mac OS X System Shortcuts which "Move focus to the menu bar"
Ctrl+F3 - standard Mac OS X System Shortcuts which "Move focus to the Dock"
Ctrl+F4 - standard Mac OS X System Shortcuts which "Move focus to active or next window"
and so on....
There is several ways to tune it still using "Enable Mac OS X System Shortcuts" mode:
1. you can disable individual Mac OS X keyboard hotkey throw Mac's System Preferenses -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts
2. you can define some keyboard shortcuts for your virtual machine throw Paralles Desktop -> Preferences -> Keyboard

Wait, how do I get F6 to be recognized by the Windows guest? Right now it does something that I can't even really describe: it makes the guest machine just disappear somewhere off the screen, and then pressing it again brings it back. I scoured the Mac OS keyboard preferences pane and could find no reference to F6 being used for something else, so how can I get it back for the Windows guest?

Sorry I don't remember seeing any report id. The two times PD6 quit on me, upon relaunch a drop-down window appeared asking for the cause of PD6 quiting. I remember seeing something that the report will not be treated as an problem. It's one of those feed back reports for reporting on a reason for a crash or quit.
I did solve the problem. I uninstalled PD6 an reinstalled PD5 and everything is working fine. I can copy-paste like before and the PD5 works as smooth as silk. I love it. I plan on waiting for a few more versions of PD6 before upgrading. I'm really happy with PD5. So thanks for your reply. All is well here
