For what were probably the wrong reasons, I separated my 38 Gb .hdd file from my .pvm file in Parallels 11. It worked fine, until I had a system crash and had to restore my complete macbook from backups. As a result my .pvm file and my .hdd file are probably not of the same vintage. I have tried to edit the .pvm file so that it refers to the correct .hdd file, but I start up (Windows7, btw) I get a message "The virtual Hard Disk 0 has wrong access permissions or is used with another virtual machine" Check and correct permissions of stop another virtual machine." How can I get the two files to speak to eat other, or else set up a new .pvm file that will accept the .hdd file? Thanks Gareth
