Control Centre window cannot get focus - mouse clicks on the window don't work

Hi,
I have a weird issue which never happened before. The control centre window cannot get the focus, the standard mac window buttons on the top left corner are disabled. Clicking on a VM to navigated to that VM doesn't work. I can still switch to a VM using Cmd+Tab.
Versions:
PD: 17.0.1 (51482)
macOS 10.15.7 (19H1417) - Catalina with the latest security update from apple https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT212825.

I am not 100% sure when this started to happen, but I noticed it after the latest security update install.
Any suggestions?

ok, after I restarted parallels it seems to have gotten its brains back.
