I am using latest version of Parallels Desktop for Mac and it runs fine. I created a vm of a Windows 7 partition and have not problems running Mac and Windows at the same time. I am wondering if I can use Parallels to verify a disk image made by either macrium reflect or Acronis Home 11. I am able to create an image of the partition using either program, but there really is no good way to test the image short of restoring it. If I have a problem, then I may have corrupted the good setup on the computer.

So, my question is can I take the image from macrium or acronis, and have Parallels make it into a vm and try running it? If so, which of the two (acronis or macrium) should I use and how do I do it?
