Corrupted HDD, Empty DiskDescriptor
Hello,
I have made some wrong actions now really have big problem as as I need repair my data from corrupted hdd.
Here is step by step actions:
1. My Parallels virtual machine (VM) was on external HDD and I was need to increase VM size with Parallels Image Tool.
2. I had 2 snapshots before I start.
3. While merging snapshots (it was freeze) I recognize that external disk has no free space.
4. I hace force quite Parallels Image Tool.
5. After this I have 'no disk' error in Parallels and 'disk image corrupted' in Image Tool.
6. I went to configuration and delete snapshots I have (Maybe second error from me).
Now I have: DiskDescriptor.xml (zero kb) and 2 hds files (one is old, and one is changed same time as DiskDescriptor.xml):
WinXP-0.hdd.0.{5fbaabe3-6958-40ff-92a7-860e329aab41}.hds
WinXP-0.hdd.0.{4241b53b-5a60-43e8-b1a8-9d86e19cdd23}.hds
---
Please help me to retrieve information from last copy or even to repair VM.
I well skilled with different types of computers so any not easy way are welcome.
Thanks and hope I have chance to get my data back.
Also one question maybe its possible to write DiskDescriptor.xml manually?
