Couldn't install windows 10, installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase APPLY_IMAGE opera

I recently started using Parallels 10 with a trial version of Windows 8 on my MacBook Pro.
Given my trial version is going to be expiring soon, I purchased windows 10 from the windows store online. I downloaded it (no physical product) and had a valid windows key. The installation was going fine until I got this error.

We couldn't install Windows 10
0x8007025D - 0x2000C
The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during APPLY_IMAGE operation.


Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
