CPinterceptor has to be killed

Parallels 5.0.9344, WinXP SP3, Macro Toolworks (latest version).

After returning to office I woke up a suspended XP session. Macro Toolworks didn't work so I rebooted XP. On shut down a Windows message stated that 'CPinterceptor will be kiled in 20 sec' (or something like that).

What is this CPinterceptor?

Interactions with this process is causing serious problems under Windows XP with MS Outlook and also development environments such as National Instruments LabVIEW. If this problem cannot be fixed, please tell us how to disable this process!
 
CPInterceptor Hang Issue

I traced this issue to multiple threads running under the "prl_cc" process in Windows XP, which are labeled "CopyPasteTool". Using Process Explorer to kill the "CopyPasteTool" threads in Windows XP resulted in immediate resolution of the hang conditions in MS Outlook and LabVIEW. These threads originate from a library file, "C:/Program Files/Parallels/Parallels Tools/Plugins/CopyPasteTool.dll".
 
The problem with CPInterceptor (described above) is still causing hanging issues on Parallels Desktop 6. Hope it's resolved in the next build!

I'm also having problems with taking my Win XP VM out from suspend mode. I'm getting the same error as you report (using Parallels 5).
 
Parallels ignoring its users

First post on this issue in Mars and still no resolution or even comment from the Parallels team. I wonder why I was so stupid to pay for two upgrades. At least I won't be fooled into paying a third time for unsupported software.
