create VM from existing Windows hard disk?

I have the Windows XP SP3 hard disk scavenged from a dead PC. It is currently in a USB enclosure attached to a Mac running Snow Leopard. Is it possible to install Parallels on that Mac, create a virtual machine that uses that physical partition in which Windows exists, and thus be able to run Windows XP? Alternatively, is it possible to clone or migrate that Windows installation, with all its users and apps intact, into a virtual machine?

Migration requirements

Parallels Migration Software requirements uses two programs, a transport agent on the PC and a transport client on the Mac. It also requires certain Widows OS and certain RAM / Processor specifications for the prospective PC. You have to have an operable PC as far as I know, and a special USB cable, I think it is a crossover type. This equipment and Softwar together is the PC to Mac kit. Parallels transporter and agent are elements of Parallels.

I'm speaking from what I read in the manual on the transporter. There might be a way to do it, but you really need a working PC with that drive in it that meets the specs, I think.
