CTRL automatically activates itself in MS Office

Hi all,

I have the following issue: occasionally the CTRL key acivates itself although I haven't hit it. Example: I'm typing a textfield in Powerpoint and at some point of time, I hit an "e" and the "CTRL+E" shortcut is used.
Anyone know why it happens and how to solve this problem?
