Ctrl-Backslash key combo translation

I run Parallels 10 on OS X 10.11.2 and I have a Windows7 guest in it. I noticed that the key combination "Ctrl-Backslash" ("^\") is interpreted by Parallels before Windows guest sees it.

1. Is this the intended behavior?
2. I could not find a corresponding setting in configuration options?

I need to get this key combo to work and workarounds are very undesirable.
