Current Info for Fixing Unreadable Virtual Machine?

I upgraded to Parallels Desktop 17. When I relaunched my Windows 10 VM, and received the following message:
Trying to boot from SATA drive 1 ...
SATA 1 timeout
0000
A disk read error occurred
Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart
I found the KB article titled
Error message 'Unable to connect to Hard Disk 1' on Virtual machine's start
This article refers to Parallels Desktop Standard Edition 12 and 13. Is there a corresponding article for Parallels Desktop 17, or are these instructions still valid?
