Cursor doesn't change when in Windows vm

While i was using my Windows vm, i noticed that my cursor was the default mac cursor even when i was in my Windows vm, this has been annoying since my cursor don't change, I cannot tell if i can interact with a button or if I can resize/select an image.

Interesting because my cursor will sometimes get stuck in the tex cursor - looks like a capital T but with a line along the bottom. Even if I was not entering text into anything.
