I have several apps (.exe) that run 2-10 times faster under XP than under either Windows 7 or 8.1. Since XP is considered a hazard after April 8, I would like to keep my XP vm and use it only for running programs that don't need the internet. Is there a way to cut off the internet connection to a vm? Can it be reconnected easily (for updates, etc.) and then quickly shut down again ? The idea is to keep XP functional but blind to the net and thus probably reduce the anticipated vulnerability that maintaining an XP vm "running" in Parallels 9. Any suggestions would help. Thanks in advance.
Hi hgcoon, To cut off internet from a VM, disable to network adapter by following the steps below: Access Virtual Machine configuration by following: http://kb.parallels.com/en/117287 and go to Hardware tab -> Network and uncheck the connected box. Thanks, Looran
