I have XP Pro running nicely in a VM. I have cygwin installed and have checked out a repository and that all works fine. What I would like however is to avoid needing to use cygwin. The repository is in a location that is shared. I edit files from Terminal just fine. However when I try to use OS X cvs I get an error: cvs [checkout abosrted]: cannot rename file CVS/Entries.Backup to CVS/Entries: File exists. Ideas?
This example was from trying to checkout the repository. I thought I should start with a fresh copy.
I tried working with the repository that I checked out via cygwin and I can do some things but not most. cvs status works.
cvs update fails with the error cvs [update aborted]: cannot rename file .new.SaveMsgWo to SaveMsgWorker.h: File exists.
Seems like a file permisison thing but I have no idea what exactly.
TIA
