Default Browsers?

So, I have Boot Camp, so I have Windows and Mac, as well as Parallels. And when I go boot up in XP, out of parallels, no web browser stays as default. I use Firefox, but neither Firefox nor IE say they are the default, and neither stay as the default after I assign it as such. Is there a way to fix this? This wasn't an issue before I used Parallels.

and is firefox checked as a default application in the files' properties?
While using Parallels, have you enabled Smart Select?

Actually, I figured it out. During the installation of Parallels Tools, I had to uncheck 'Shared Internet Applications.' That does the trick. Thank you for the quick reply, however.
