Delete Snapshot locks up my Mac

I have been trying to delete old snapshots. When I tell Parallels create a new snapshot it comes back instantly. When I tell Parallels 4 to delete the old snapshot, it gets stuck and hours later I have to kill Parallels.

I suspect the new snapshot wasn't created. I didn't see it in the Today smart folder.
 
Hello,
Just check out whether any anti virus is avoiding you to delete the snapshot. Disable kaspersky internet security and all firewalls. Now try deleting the snapshots.
 
Will do. (I have to use anti-virus to meet work requirements). How can I verify that the creation of a new snapshot worked? It came back instantly when I clicked it.
 
It didn't work. It still got stuck and had to be killed. What are the names of the 4.0 and earlier snapshots? I think it may be confused between the two.
