Deleting Snapshot Taking Forever?

I am writing this after starting to shut down my Windows XP installation in Parallels 4.0 and being asked if I wanted to take a snapshot. I selected yes, and as of this writing and almost 15 minutes later the snapshot is still in the deleting process. What is causing this to take soooooo, long?

Yup. It takes forever sometimes. Hours. You have to just wait it out, or else you can really screw up the database. I turn off the automatic backups because of this.
Much better to do it manually before going to bed. Then maybe it finishes in the morning.
