Hi all, Does anyone has experience using Dell ThinOS 10 with Parallels RAS? It seems itonly supports Credentials authentication and not WEB (SAML). Also it needs a direct line of sight with the RDSH Servers as it connects directly.
ThinOS 10 has limited support when used with Parallels RAS, especially around authentication: SAML / Web authentication: While Parallels RAS itself fully supports SAML (Web authentication) across its native clients and web client , ThinOS 10 does not natively support Web (SAML) authentication for RAS connections. In practice, you're restricted to Credentials-based login on ThinOS endpoints. Client limitation (key point): SAML in RAS typically relies on a browser-based flow (redirect to IdP, token return, etc.), which ThinOS clients don't handle the same way as full-featured clients (Windows/macOS/Linux). That's why it works in Parallels Client or Web Client--but not on ThinOS. Direct connection behavior: You're also right that ThinOS tends to connect directly to RDSH/VDI hosts after brokering, meaning it requires proper network reachability (line of sight). This is different from setups where everything tunnels via a gateway.
James, Thanks for the heads-up, do you have some experience in thin clients or what software we could use?
