Detecting mobile device when plugged in?

I'm running Parallels for Windows Workstation v6. I have a Windows 7 virtual machine running in Parallels. I need it to detect when I plug in my Motorola Xoom tablet so that I can use the VM to capture screenshots from the tablet. I can't seem to find a way to do this. When I go to Configuration, the USB controller option is blank, and when I click the Plus sign to add new hardware, my only option is to add a new hard drive.
What am I doing wrong? How to get the VM to detect a device plugged into the USB port?
