Disappearing applications

Hi,

sometimes some applications are "disappearing" under the following conditions:

1. Coherence mode
2. Windowed (non-console) application
3. Application is unresponsive (i.e. it doesn't go to sleep or waits for something) because it scans through the file system but doesn't update its window

This is very annoying.

Hello Mark,

Could you please give more details?
What build of Parallels Desktop are you using?
What are your Host and Guest OS?
Could you also specify your Mac model, the RAM of the Mac and the RAM allocated to Parallels and to the Virtual Machine?
Which applications were you using when you got the issue?

Host: Mac OS X 10.4.11

Model ID: MacBookPro1,2
RAM: 2GB
RAM for VM: 512MB

It was a VB6 application that did lots of things in an event handler but didn't call DoEvents.

Could you also attach the screenshots of the Desktop before and after the application disappears?

And one more question: does this happen in Coherence mode only? Did you try Single Window or Full Screen mode?
