Display issue with Ubuntu Hardy Heron

There is a problem with the display using 2x client for linux on Ubuntu Hardy Heron version. Basically, there is the RDP background that remains visible and covers the desktop. I fixed this by disabling visual effects in Gnome under System -> Preferences -> Appearance.

Just an FYI in case anyone else has this problem.
